There’s nothing quite like immersing yourself into the narrative of a good film. Cinema has the power to transport people to a fictional place; it can make someone feel a plethora of emotions. We decided it was only right that The Ashton had its own private cinema room. It was designed to bring everyone closer together, including loved ones of residents to spend time with one another in a relaxing environment.

We have an excellent array of films for residents to choose from. There’s a high chance that something in our film collection will appeal to all genre preferences, ranging from westerns to rom-coms, to action films.

Experience Film on The Big Screen

The only way someone can truly appreciate cinema is by sitting comfortably and watching a film on the big screen, just like you would at the cinema, and at The Ashton Care Home, you can do just that. We want residents to get the true experience, where they can pay full attention to the film they’re watching thanks to surround sound and a clear picture. The cinema room can be rented out for a special occasion or simply because residents have always enjoyed this pastime with loved ones.

The Perfect Place to Unwind

There is no better way than to truly unwind with your feet up, with your favourite snack in hand and beverage of choice by your side. Doing something as simple as watching a film can improve someone’s mental and emotional well-being, including stimulating imagination, memory and engagement. Not only that, but as it doesn’t require too much effort, residents of all ages and abilities can take part in this activity.
